Holiday schedule 2023-2024
The Tawfiq Foundation follows the national government advice dates for school holidays as much as possible for every student and parent quality time to give to the family. Therefore, tailor your holiday plans to the spacious holidays we provide.
You will also notice that from this year onwards we have days off on Easter, Pentecost and Ascension Day. These are not Islamic days to celebrate, but in the Netherlands it is customary for families to spend time with each other or to visit family. Experience has shown that parents like to use this and we respect that.
In addition, we have opted for 6 well-deserved holidays spread over the school year, taking into account the different regions (North, Central, South) according to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). Therefore, spend this well with your family to achieve the satisfaction of Allah swt.
Public holidays free except for the holidays in 2024
We will not teach on these days and ask you to spend them on your child and family.

Ramadan exception:
The first 20 days of the month of Ramadan will have adjusted times due to the iftar that takes place during the week during classes. Most likely, lessons will only be given on weekends. But this will be explained in more detail!
NB:
The Ramadan week holiday and the May holiday fall very unfortunately and close together. This may still be changed, but we will inform you in a timely manner. Study days and any conferences will be announced at the beginning of the school year

We are not a commercial institution but are a self-organization that does not use or request government subsidies. We are a foundation that, when necessary, raises collections and asks for financial support and donations from its community. Our foundation will also organize benefits when the need is dire or progressive to safeguard the Islamic identity of Dutch Muslims. Our foundation also works as much as possible with its own working capacity, are free, independent and unbound and rely only on Allah as the Only Provider.
